Jamie Robertson

Jamie Robertson moved to Cape Town, South Africa in June 2004 to launch Odgers Berndtson. The business offers Executive Search and other HR services. It has been particularly successful in finding internationally based South African leaders and persuading them to come home. Jamie joined Odgers, Odgers Berndtson in December 2001 as a Partner in the Consumer team in London. He specialises in Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Business Development and Corporate Strategy and Planning.

Jamie has extensive global search experience, particularly in India, Europe and the Far East. Jamie began a career in recruitment when he joined an international recruitment firm in July 1995. He initially recruited Sales and Marketing candidates for FMCG companies in London. In 1997, Jamie was promoted to run the Media/Entertainment team and latterly the FMCG team. In November 1999 he moved to a boutique search and selection firm in London as a Search Consultant. He covered the Marketing Services, Retail Consumer and Professional Services sectors and recruited across a variety of functions. During his time there he developed a "Project Resourcing" service. This constituted a highly successful, rapid resourcing product where clients were able to recruit large teams over a short period of time.

Jamie's early career was spent working in Export Marketing in France. He graduated from Newcastle Polytechnic, where he read International Marketing with French and German.
