Sheila L. Ross

Sheila has over 25 years of executive search experience focusing on the recruitment of senior executives in the Financial Services sector. Clients have included several major Canadian chartered banks, pension funds, investment managers, mutual fund companies and stock exchanges. Sheila has a successful track record of appointments across all functional areas including numerous President and CEO positions, risk management, marketing, finance, audit, information technology, investment management, and sales. She has also conducted numerous senior level assignments in the retail and service sectors.

Sheila began her career in executive search in 1985 as a founding partner of Illsley Bourbonnais which later became Highland Partners. Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson she was a partner with Heidrick and Struggles. Before entering executive search Sheila worked in the oil and gas industry.

Sheila holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of British Columbia. She served, for many years, as a Director of a publicly traded, regulated financial institution, where she was the Chair of the Compensation Committee.
